Fundación INTRAS is a Spanish non-profit organization that since 1994 has been delivering programs addressed at promoting the autonomy of people living with severe and prolonged mental illness and empowering them to live a self-determined and self-confident life. At present, INTRAS manages 29 assistance centers and employs over 500 professionals. It offers multiple services in areas such as residential care, supported housing, vocational training, psychosocial rehabilitation, labor insertion, culture and leisure. The organization’s services and programs are based on the recovery approach, empowering people with mental health issues to live a self-determined and self-confident life. At INTRAS, key value is given to respecting human rights in the framework of health and social services settings. Since 2011, INTRAS holds a European Excellency Seal +400.
